Ainas Toleikis learned what luxury means from the front row. At Harrods, he was part of the "millionaires club," the small circle of advisors selling over a million pounds a year. He worked as a personal shopper to Robbie Williams and Swedish princesses on the store's private fifth-floor VIP floor, after years with houses such as Giorgio Armani, Zegna and Dolce & Gabbana.

He also watched the industry change. Over the past decade, luxury shifted from exclusivity and quality to logos and name recognition, from craft to cash machine. "A £1,000 T-shirt with a logo on it has very little to do with luxury," he says.

After time in his family's business in Lithuania, Ainas chose Antwerp for his own boutique: a city with the right scale and a slower, better pace than London. NEVE is his answer to logo-driven luxury. It brings together family-owned houses, mostly Italian, often with very small productions, chosen for their materials, finish and the people behind them.

Every visit is a personal shopping experience. You're welcome to browse the rails, but Ainas would rather get to know you, your style and what's already in your wardrobe, and build on it over time. "If a woman walks out more confident and more herself, I've done what I came to do."
