Tramontano Napoli
In 1865, Francesco Tramontano opened a small shop of fabrics, buttons and trimmings in the historic centre of Naples — a city that, during the Belle Époque, stood alongside Paris as one of Europe's great capitals of art, culture and craftsmanship. What began as a boutique became a legacy. Over the following generations, the Tramontano family developed their atelier into one of Italy's most revered leather goods houses, with Aldo Tramontano — Francesco's son — transforming the workshop into a school of high artisanship, creating pieces of such singular character that they attracted some of the most celebrated figures of the 20th century. Woody Allen, Luciano Pavarotti, Marcello Mastroianni, Lucio Dalla and Hillary Clinton are among those who sought out Tramontano for bespoke creations — pieces made to order, by hand, in Naples.
Today, Tramontano continues to design and produce every bag, travel piece and leather accessory in its Neapolitan atelier, drawing on an extraordinary archive of over 600 historical models as the soul and inspiration of each new collection. The leathers are carefully selected from Italian tanneries, and every piece is finished by skilled artisan hands using techniques that have remained unchanged for generations: hand-made stitching, leather weaving, brass closures and details, stone applications, and horn and bamboo accessories. The result is a bag that transcends season and trend — quietly exceptional, built to last a lifetime and beyond.
At Neve Antwerp, Tramontano represents the pinnacle of what we believe in — a family-rooted Italian house with over 160 years of history, where every piece carries the weight of a story worth telling.
